I’m Theresa Khalil, an Egyptian documentary filmmaker and content creator who moved to Zagreb in July 2014 with my Croatian husband. Being an expat came with its challenges—especially the language barrier. I created this guide after more than 10 years of living in Zagreb and being active in discovering the city in addition to creating meetups and events to connect expats and locals.
